Minutes of meeting June 18, 2009

 

The board meeting was called to order by Vice President Bea Weimer at 6:30pm.  Also in attendance were board members Duane Vincent and Carol Ivey. 

Minutes of May 21. 2009 meeting that had been posted as a draft on the website were approved.  The Treasurer’s report was read and approved. 

Motion made and approved for final payment on the fence repair and painting contract.

The overall total was $20,698.67. 

A discussion ensued regarding maintenance of back yards on foreclosed homes.  A motion was made and approved to have the front and back mowed on one specific house that has been foreclosed upon where the back yard is clearly visible from the street.  This is a one time mowing, the costs to be billed to the legal owner (bank or financial institution). 

It was noted that any tree removal requires an architectural committee request and approval. 

A request from a homeowner for reimbursement of repairs to the common fence was denied.  Any repairs to the common fence must be pre-approved by the board. 

The board will review and update resolutions. 

Motion made and approved to appoint Becky Smith to the board for a term ending December 31, 2009 or until a legal general meeting is held. 

Motion made and approved to terminate our management contract with Kappes Miller effective August 31, 2009. 

Motion made and approved to sign a contract with The Management Group (TMG) for two  years effective September 1, 2009 as the managing agent for Clearmeadows.  

The meeting adjourned at 8:45pm.
