Board of Directors Meeting

April 16, 2008 

Meeting was called to order by Vice President Bea Weimer at 7:10 p.m.

• Board members were present with the exception of Chris Leedle.
• Mike Swanson, the Association’s representative from Kappes Miller was present.
• There were 13 homeowners present.

 

Minutes of the 3/19/08 board meeting were read and approved. 

Treasurer’s report was read and approved. 

KM Representative Mike Swanson confirmed their figures were consistent with those presented in the Treasurer’s Report. 

OLD BUSINESS 

CC&R Review:

• Homeowner Guidelines were approved and are to be posted on the website.
• CC&R Committee was asked to look at the possibility of allowing composite fencing alternative.

 

Status of the insurance claim:  Lori updated the board on her progress with reconstructing the events lead to the boards’ proposed claim.

• Discussed Board’s 6:00 p.m. meeting with Katy Matthews, Claim Adjuster for our insurance carrier.

 

Repair and painting the perimeter fence:  The Fence Committee: Don Maynor, Tom Waits and Brian Legate (not present) were asked to meet and review options for completing the repair and painting of the perimeter fence, or replacement.

• Board asked them to come to the May meeting with the options and their recommendation.

 

4^th of July:  Officially cancelled as a community event for the 2^nd year.

• Some homeowners discussed an informal get-together.
• CCA will not fund the event.

 

NEW BUSINESS 

No election of officers or approval of past Annual Meeting minutes due to lack of quorum.

• 93 representatives and proxies of the 209 needed.

 

Board was asked to approve Outdoor Movie Night for July 11, 2008 by Dana Englebright, a representative of Journey Community Church.

• Discussion was followed by a vote of the board.
• Passed: 3 For, 1 Against

 

The meeting closed at 8:30 p.m.
